Just Radio Africa Kitchen . . .
If you are looking for a delicious lunch for under $15 with organic vegetables and greens check out one of my new favorite spots, Radio Africa Kitchen in Bayview.
In my two visits I have not been disappointed.
My first trip I ordered the Grilled Flank Steak Sandwich pictured above with peppers, feta and salsa verde and a side of soup. The soup was a little bland but the sandwich was a perfect flavor combination.
My second visit I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with tomato mustard and avocados with a side of vegetables. I enjoyed this even more than the Flank Steak Sandwich.
The location at 3rd and Oakdale is definitely in the "rougher" area of town; but the Muni T Line stops directly in front of the restaurant and there is an almost constant police presence on this block as several new businesses have moved in during the past year in an attempt to generate new life in the neighborhood.

Hi Jon!
ReplyDeleteWe saw this lovely post on Radio Africa and wanted to invite you to join us for a Radio Africa event that will be an evening with a family style meal, interacting closely with Chef Eskender, kitchen tour, and getting your hands dirty with making a couple of Radio Africa’s signature sauces (guided by Chef Eskender and just in time to show off for the holidays :)).
You can check out more details here: http://www.simmr.co/events/24.
Let me know if you can join us! :)
